can see it. it just says dr. martin luther king, "i have a dream." it's right there that martin luther king stood and delivered his "i have a dream speech." for me, that was a little humbling because i'm not going to be standing there. i'm way down the stairs from there. but what that man did and what he went through and the people that came and what they went through to come. i've read the papers from the day before his speech. it was incredible with what he said. he hasn't been carved in stone. he's more of a man and less than a monument, so i can relate to him more than giant abraham lincoln. but it's impossible to look around in that area and not be overwhelmed by the sense of history of it all. when i say "history," i mean the history of america. our first president, not carved in stone. he would have hated that. just tall, straight and erect. abraham lincoln. the greatest generation at the end of the reflecting pool. martin luther king. being around all of these things in that small sacred space is pretty overwhelming. the memorials to some of the most honorable people in our nat

different rallies taking place, all taking place on this 47th anniversary of martin luther king's "i have a dream" speech. one was being led by conservative talk show host glenn beck. that taking place at the lincoln memorial and another being led by the reverend al sharpton taking place quite a few blocks away at a high school. it's being called a march, a march that will make its way to the future site of the martin luther king memorial. let's begin with the rally that has just ended just a few moments ago at the lincoln memorial. that's a political producer. shannon travis is joining us now to give us an idea, the high points of that location. then we'll be going to sara lee, still at dunbar high school where the march will be under way. let's begin with you, shannon. >> that march may be getting under way. the music and speeches here have just stopped pretty much. many people are filing out but they are taking back with them the message from today. that message was not about politic, it was definitely about restoring hope in what they see is a nation that's sliding in terms of hope. r
